To commemorate the tricentennial of Shakespeare's death, the Shakespeare classes of English professor Winifred Smith (class of 1904) and the botany classes of Emmeline Moore collaborated on the planning and planting of the Shakespeare Garden, using seeds acquired from Stratford-upon-Avon.
